With Smasher™, figuring out what's in your collection of font suitcases has never been easier. Just drag folders and files into Smasher's left pane to discover all your suitcases and fonts. After performing basic integrity checks on your fonts, Smasher presents their contents by suitcase, family, font and style. You can then:

  • See which fonts and styles are complete and uncorrupted
  • Visually compare the contents of your suitcases
  • Select individual styles and preview them
Break suitcases down to the family or style level

After selecting font families or styles, just click the Smash button and Smasher creates new suitcase files that are ready for use in Mac OS X. These new suitcases allow OS X to open and close individual fonts and styles as you need them rather than wasting resources by opening large, unwieldy OS 9 suitcases.

Separate TrueType from Type 1 fonts

Smasher lets you look insider your suitcases and identifies font file formats clearly, allowing you to separate your Type 1 fonts from your TrueTypes and create new, simpler and more efficient suitcases so you are always sure which font format you are using.

Keep bitmap and printer fonts together

When you smash a Type 1 font with Smasher, it automatically matches the correct printer font with the bitmapped screen font - so you can be guaranteed that your documents print to hardcopy and PDF correctly.
